Oh, and...
blackbirds on power lines...
I always look up at the birds on the tops of lampposts; there are usually several clustered on top of one, and only one on top of the next one over.
I can't help but wonder, sometimes, if there is some sort of bird hierarchy, or bird cliques. Is the lone bird an outcast of some sort? Is there just no more room on the lamppost?
